The audience for the instrument is school science program heads. It solicits information regarding courses offered at the school, resources committed to science instruction, and factors affecting instruction. The questionnaire was developed and administered to a nationally representative sample of schools as part of the 2000 National Survey of Science and Mathematics Education.
