Leveraging MIPOs: Developing a Theory of Productive Use of Student Mathematics Thinking

Horizon Research, Inc. serves as the formative and summative evaluator for the MOST project, funded by the National Science Foundation. The project team is conducting design research and teaching experiments to develop a theory regarding how teachers make use of students’ mathematics thinking during instruction. HRI is reviewing research designs, developing tools to measure changes in teacher knowledge, and evaluating the quality of the project’s research products.
