In the spring and summer of 1995, the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded the first cohort of eight projects in a new initiative, the Local Systemic Change through Teacher Enhancement (LSC) program. Additional cohorts have been funded each year, bringing the total number of projects to 80. As part of the cross-site evaluation, each project participates in a core data collection system that includes teacher and principal questionnaires, classroom observations, teacher interviews, and professional development observations. This technical report provides an in-depth presentation and analysis of data collected during the sixth year of the LSC initiative. Funding provided by the National Science Foundation, contract number REC-9912485.
