Systemic Transformation of Evidence-based Education Reform (STEER) is a multi-disciplinary, cross-institutional project supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Working across STEM departments at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College, STEER seeks to develop and support a student-focused culture in which faculty, instructors, and graduate teaching assistants value and employ evidence-based teaching methodologies. The ultimate goal of this culture transformation is the successful recruitment, progression, and graduation of diverse students who are prepared for life, citizenship, and STEM careers.
Horizon Research, Inc. serves as the external evaluator for this project.
